Symphony

Happned on 20/6/06, taken place at a rural place in Seremban.

Raining day…

Rain splashes at the windscreen with the sounds of car wipers echoes in my ear. I sat in my car, mindlessly, while turning my car key hundred of times. The ignition won’t start.

Soaked…

My car was stranded with heavy downpour of rain. I went down, and my topless body was drenched in rain. I checked my car battery. It was dead. Perfect... Damn.

Waiting…

It’s been half an hour… and no one calls to respond for my request. No thanks to the 24hours Honda Service center… Need to check my insurance policy and some paperwork before send someone over… Typical.

Music…

The atmosphere was like a symphony of music played by an orchestra band. “Sounds of Nature” as if was the title played. The tapping of the rain… the buzzing of the insects… the “swooshing” wind… the dangling trees and branches… the moving of the car wipers… It’s been a long time since I really listen.

Cold…

Still raining… Somehow my heart is colder than the aircond… When’s the last pit stop I had in my life?

Stillness…

Tired. Lying down with my eyes closed thinking random thoughts… Rain still won’t stop pouring… Nope still no one comes… Yet, somehow I wished they never come at all…

Smoothing…

Sun is setting… and the rain is sizzling… Quiet… I know I should call… but I didn’t. Stepped down from my car, let the rain drops touching my senses… Calming me... The combined of the greens and the yellow of the sun set… What a beautiful picture...

Buzz…

The sudden sound of my phone created such an annoyance. It was them. Too bad no snooze button to press on while continues with my dream… An unpleasant wake up call.

Dim…

They revived my car battery. My engine roars again. My wallet grew thinner. The rain stopped. They left, leaving me alone with my car... ready for my journey. Darkness falls again… expectedly.

Curtain closed…

The music from the radio echoed in my ears while I’m driving to the nearest motel… random thoughts… continue back on with my journey… while leaving the performance He played for me… smiling.

Thank you. =>
